This alarm was delivered on time and as expected from Amazon.com. I have not yet found out the battery life because the product is new. The alarm sounds if you insert the batteries incorrectly and there is a timer that makes the alarm sound after 7 years when the product is due for replacement. The device comes with a stand so that you can place it on a flat surface no higher than 3 feet above the floor rather than drill holes for wall mounting. I have high expectations for the quality of this brand.

Because of new building codes and re-selling codes for homes in Phoenix, a carbon monoxide detector is mandatory. After reading several reviews, I decided to purchase the Kidde battery-operated model. It has one of the highest ratings available. It was not only inexpensive, but very easy to set up. I never worried about carbon monoxide because I never knew the risk. Now I sleep at night without any worries! What peace of mind I have. No home should be without one.

The product is great… But knowing the sensor has a 7 year life expectancy, I was very disappointed that the ones I bought from Amazon were already over one year old, per the man. date on the unit.

I thought we would add to our peace of mind by adding its Carbon Monoxide monitor to make sure our gas-fueled furnace and boiler are not putting our family in danger.
