I own a Kitchen Aid Superba Model KSC525INWH00 refrigerator. I used to get the replacement filter cartridges at Sears for $50+. The last time I decided to just forget about filtering the water because at the price I could just as easily use a Brita Pitcher. Then I saw these filters advertised on Amazon for a lot less. A little bit of cross checking around the web convinced me that they were the same filter without the Sears labeling for a lot less money so I ordered one. I just installed it and everything seems to be the same except for some of the labeling. It said “Double filtration” on the Sears one, but I imagine they all are double filtration. And if they aren’t, the water tastes the same and for the lower cost I’m willing to go with this one. I’ll be getting my filters from Amazon from now on.

It installed easily and was a perfect fit. My water tastes the same as the last filter. Honestly, what else can I say? I’m not a water quality engineer and I did not perform any tests. I’ll take their word that it is doing what it is supposed to do. The thing fits and was the lowest priced option I saw when I purchased. I recommend it for those reasons.

I have a Kenmore and Sears wants $60.00 for this exact same filter! Since this is over $25.00 you get free shipping. Even if I had to pay the $5.00 for shipping this is a way better deal. It is the same exact filter, except sears slaps the Kenmore label on it and doubles the price. Buy this one instead.

If you own a fridge with a push-in type water filter, there are several options. Before I have purchased more expensive filters, and they worked fine. This time I purchased several of these, and I think they work just as well as the $40-$45 filters. Also a tip: my filters lasted longer than the indicator showed. Our Fridge has a digital countdown timer and when it hits zero, time to change the filter. When it hit zero, I reset it, and it got down to about 80 before we could taste the bad stuff in the water, so about 4 extra weeks of filter life. Great item at a great price!

I saved $10 by purchasing this replacement refrigerator filter through Aamzon. I received the filter in good condition and it was easy to install. Follow the included instructions carefully for purging the air out of the new filter. My water dispenser valve stuck open until all the air was purged from the filter and water lines so I ended up with a small amount of water on the floor. The valve acted like water pressure is required to help it close. A small pitcher (~2 qt.) rather than a drinking glass may be helpful when you purge the air to alleviate water spills if your valve happens to stick open as mine did. I will probably buy my next replacement filter from Amazon.
